Spiral Perm have been making moves and releasing tunes since 2017, so it’s high time they collated the curls with the pearls on their latest EP: Greatest Hits. In equal parts retro and rambunctious, the garage-pop trio offset bold, sparkly guitar riffs with punchy drums and hypnotic basslines. Their sound, taking its cue from Those Darlins, Ty Segull, and all of your other favourite bands, has supported the likes of Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Boy Toy (US), and The Dacios. It’s refreshing to hear a band, on record and onstage, that is legitimately chill. They’re not trying too hard to be the best band ever, they’re here for a nice time, with tunes to match for anyone in the mood.
